We may be offensive, but not to our planet. We try to do what we can to make sure that this business is good for everyone – you, me, website designer (who happens to be my awesome husband Mike from Melvin Creative), the print folk, the postie, and anyone else who is part of this.
We use FSC certified paper and non-toxic inks. We don’t lash our cards in one of those really annoying and totally unnecessary plastic cellophane bags – I mean, WTF are they about? We only print what we need.
We use a local printer, which is also a small business – I could probably save a ton of money by printing outside of Scotland, and the UK, but that’s not how we roll here at Offensive Occasions. Plus let’s face it, it’s not like I’m a card-mogul selling millions per year – yet! And even if I was, I still wouldn’t be a d**k about it.
I post your cards at my local post office, I say ‘hi’ to people on the way. I’m a proper little ray of sunshine.
Not only do I do my best to be sustainable and responsible in my business – I’m a champion recycler at home. I’m really trying to limit my single-use plastic and make as many changes as I can. I’m worried about the mess my nephews and nieces are going to inherit. I love our planet and I think all of us can (and should do) better. Or at least try.
Please recycle your Offensive Occasions cards, envelopes and outer ‘do not bend’ envelope. Re-use where you can … but not the actual card … that’s just being tight and not good for my sales!
CONGRATULATIONS! YOU’RE ON YOUR WAY TO OFFENDING YOUR NEAREST AND DEAREST. WE’RE PROUD OF YOU!
